The major software vendor in the security management market are currently seeking a professional services consultant. The role is home based in the UK with extensive EMEA wide travel (80%). The consultant will be responsible for both presales (ie trials) and post-sales (paid) customer-facing product deployment. The successful candidate will come either from a security software background or a consultancy but must understand the difference between consulting and working within a software sales environment and must have the following experience:
- A good working knowledge of IP networks with specific knowledge of security device installation, configuration and troubleshooting (e.g. firewall, IDS, etc.)
- Enterprise software installation experience (e.g. shared business or technical applications, not personal software)
- Specific knowledge of Unix, Linux and Microsoft system administration (Windows) with ability to tear-down and rebuild a host system.
- Sales support experience, having worked directly with a sales force
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up atmosphere.
- Knowledge of ESM/SIEM software a benefit
- Government security clearance an essential

Experienced Technical Support Engineer
A leading security vendor is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer ideally with team management experience. Based in the company's head offices in London the successful candidate will be responsible for helping to run and grow the company's technical support function for EMEA. While still helping to provide email and phone technical support to the company's customers and acting as point of contact regarding technical issues as well as working closely with Engineering and QA teams to facilitate feedback the successful candidate will ideally have the potential to manage the existing EMEA tech support team.
This candidate should have strong knowledge of:
- Current firewall, Intrusion Detection System Brands & technologies.
- Vulnerability Network Scanners (Nessus, nmap, Cybercop, ISS Internet Scanner).
- NIS, NFS, DNS, ACL, server/client configuration, TCP/IP networking hardware and protocols
- LAN configuration, LAN and WAN technologies and web security architectures.
- Major web server software (IIS, Apache, Websphere, Tomcat, WebLogic)
- UNIX/Windows web services, and diverse platforms and applications (Linux, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Novell, Lotus Notes, Mac OS)
- Government Security Clearance a benefit (or British citizenship essential to enable rapid security clearance).
- Previous team management experience is desirable.
In addition this candidate must have a strong customer orientation and possess an excellent work ethic. Outstanding troubleshooting and analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for this position along with a BSC degree, preferably with a major in Computer Science or another relevant field.

Product Manager

Our clients, a major global player in the OSS/BSS market, is seeking a billing professional to take on the role of Product Manager for their billing and finance software portfolio globally. The successful applicant will play a pivotal strategic role within the company’s Product Management team.
Responsibilities include:
- Definition of the portfolio strategic plan and resulting program agenda, including business requirements
- Communication and evangelisation of the portfolio strategic plan to internal and external audiences
- Effective two-way communication with key account customers and partners as required to give visibility of the Intec roadmap and portfolio program rollout and solicit feedback
- Overall leadership of portfolio programs and their cross-organisational and customer impacts
- Coordination of the delivery of the organisational rollout plans to identify organisational investment and associated ‘return on investment’ based on a synchronised sales pipeline. Accountable for the success of each program rollout
- Sales training, and the provision of appropriate sales tools, to ensure sales are equipped to sell portfolio offerings
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have an excellent technical knowledge of billing systems - perhaps from a professional services or systems architect background - and ideally have experience with both billing/revenue assurance software and accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials. A technical understanding of finance and accounting issues as they interface with telecoms billing and revenue assurance systems along with strong commercial and business analytical skills are vital.
- Minimum 7+ years experience in a business development, product marketing, product management or technical marketing role
- Technical experience of finance and accounting issues within billing and revenue assurance software (e.g. understanding of Gl codes and accrual accounting) is highly desirable
- Experience with financial accounting software (SAP/Oracle Financials) is highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of current telecommunications billing market and industry direction
- Experience in Expert program management skills and highly developed leadership skills with the ability to lead large/complex/diverse/global groups. Sophisticated communication and negotiation skills to achieve united goals and outcomes
- Expert level understanding of customer business needs. Experience with telecommunications software as a supplier or user.
- Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Engineering and/or Computer Science – MBA desirable
The ideal candidate will ideally be UK based but good candidates from other European/EMEA countries will be considered.

EMEA Salesperson

Our clients, the major vendor of networking and security compliance software, are currently seeking an experienced salesperson to join their European team to help them sell their networking synergy products. As the first dedicated salesperson selling the company’s NSP offerings in EMEA the successful candidate will be required to take ownership of the company’s NSP portfolio in the region and have the opportunity for rapid career progression by building the company’s NSP product profile across the territory selling the product set into the company’s existing customer base as well as generating new business. In addition the position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to further expand their experience by cross-selling/up-selling the company’s established market-leading enterprise SIEM solution. The ideal candidate will come from either an equivalent vendor background or have sold similar software as part of a larger product portfolio and have:
- A demonstrable track record of successful network software sales.
- Excellent contacts at IT/Network Director level in both SME and large enterprises as well as relevant VARs/distibutors.
- A solid commercial sense.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills – verbal and written.
- Proven experience in successful sales as part of an account team.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up atmosphere.
- Previous EMEA wide experience an advantage but not essential.
